Top Gear - Season 19

So who watched the new season. Anyone know what episode the BRZ/FRS are in? I can't wait!

ZetaVI 01-29-2013 12:25 PM

Not sure yet. Top Gear's list of episodes wiki page usually summarize the next episode a week before. If not, try finalgear forum because it's a good source of Top Gear info.

Only one episode has aired. And according to Wikipedia it doesn't seem like the GT86 will be in either of the first two episodes.

Got3n 01-29-2013 01:11 PM

Noooo!!!!! Oh well, still fun to watch. I want me some carbon titanium :-)

Trashed675 01-29-2013 01:14 PM

You can get them a couple hours after they air usually at finalgear.com.

Atleast for this first episode they had alot more humor thrown in between the guys. I was crying from laughing so hard at a couple of places... E E Y!

SPOILER ALERT!!

That was EPIC. Did you see how composed it was?

Got3n 01-29-2013 02:08 PM

yeah that lap was fantastic! I didnt think anything would beat the Atom. Now to wait and see how the Atom responds.

Joeprelude 01-29-2013 02:15 PM

Sucks. In afghanistan and even the BFBS (British Forces Brodcasting) doesn't show the new episodes. only old ones on thursday at 330 am local....

I wouldn't count on Ariel being able to drop much more off the atom V8's time. For such a small company, i'm guessing they are about at their limits, engineering wise, with that car.

It'll be interesting to see what stuff like the Koenigsegg Agera R, Hennessey Venom GT, Ferrari F70/Enzo (whatever its called), Mclaren P1 can do. The Ferrari and the Mclaren aren't production ready yet though so i doubt they'll be in this season, but maybe the Koeni and the Venom *Crosses fingers*

Jeremy still never fails to make me ROFL.
Hammond i noticed aging. no longer the young hamster he used to be.
May is still the same witty self.

Pagani was ugly but am impressed with the active aero. I was surprised how little noise it made.
the P45 segment was hilarious.

and the beginning montage to show what is coming up next. That is what TOP Gear is all about.

I noticed that as well when I first saw Hammond sitting down. He is showing some aging, but was still a great episode none the less. The P45 segment, like you said, was hilarious!

That Pagani vowelgasm made a hell of a lap, amazing. I was really surprised by the sound, very mellow low pitch, a far cry from the zonda's screaming.

I'm not convinced that those flaps are all that useful, especially the ones in front. It must take crazy powerful motors/hydraulics to actuate them though.

I think it's more that the Ariel Atom has no aero to speak of, besides that bandaid wing. Exposed wheels really suck for aero. Pagani cars have a very tapered greenhouse compared to just about all the other supercars, which is good. Upon closer inspection of some photos it appears they have some ground effects going on; The rear diffuser is really high, and the nose seems to be pretty high at the front too. That might do it.

Still, freaking fast time! They beat the McLaren! (with more power of course)

Can't wait till next episode.
