Usually better to sell your car yourself, just takes a little more work. Dealer will usually give horrible value on your trade in.

Sell your Tacoma privately. Pay sticker and get GAP insurance. MUST GET GAP INSURANCE.

$25,255
~$2,500 in taxes & registration, they upcharged me about $100 for taxes according to this: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/FeeCalculatorWeb/index.jsp
and a $80 "document fee" which is bull, almost walked out but I wanted the car =(

They will probably stick to their guns on the price they have on the car ("pure price lol") but a good dealer will "order" you a car (i.e. get one and specifically not put shit on it). Put down a $500 deposit and agree upon the vehicle price in writing (fully refundable, goes towards your down payment). Good luck.

$26350 (automatic, whiteout color extra, trunk mat) out the door $29k

I took my dealer's first ever inventoried FR-S and it's the third Scion I've bought from them. We have a good relationship. I paid MSRP to the penny, plus paint protection, undercoating, GAP insurance, and TTL. $28,298.03.

I love my dealer. They don't even tap holes in my bumpers despite our state law requiring front plates without asking first and debadge before delivery.

Puente Hills Toyota, City of Industry CA

The only thing to look out for is them trying to give you a high interest rate. I had to negotiate it down to 3% from almost 5% (I knew I qualified for lower than that)

awesome man thanks again!!!!!!! i will definitely be swinging by, i'm not too far

Gosch Toyota/Scion in Hemet gave me the most information, including shipping dates and arrivals via screen shots of their information for my incoming car and called when they had the car in (without deposit!!). Kept the front plates off, minimal work in the dealership and back home 400 miles later. Dale Ferguson is a great guy to work with and understands the car fairly well.

I bought mine at the local dealer. They tried to charge me for headlight tint ($700) and a bunch of otehr crap. I got it for MSRP, except they did upcharge me 1k for some paint protection crap that I didn't want. Nice thing is, they gave me about 3k more for my trade-in over what I was expecting so I didn't care about the paint crap.

Just a note, scion raised the price of the frs for 2013, $300 more to be exact. So look carefully on the sticker. Before destination fee and ad ons, base msrp price should be about $24,500 and $25,600 (MT and AT)
