Got my EcuTek reflash from Drift Office
So I made a trip down south to see Bob @ Drift-Office (Drift-Office) on the forums.
My car was put on the dyno, and off we went. After everything was done, I was on my way. Let's just say I had a grin from cheek to cheek on my way home. The car really opens up after 4000 RPM. Significant gains, considering the car is bone stock except for an AVO drop in filter. Although not making as much hp/tq as other cars, we believe the factors were my super heavy steelies, plus not sure if the 94/92 octane mix would affect anything. My base run netted lower numbers then other stock FRS's. So it has to be the wheels, or something else is not right with my car :P. We will be testing again in the Spring when the stock wheels go back on. http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a2...ps317f15a9.jpg I'd like to give a big thanks to Bob and the crew @ Drift-Office. It was also nice to meet Paul from AVO Turboworld. Will see how the car feels once the stock wheels go back on, plus having a full tank of 94. |
Nice... Personal tune is always better then off the shelf tune.

Admittedly, it's not as critical in a NA environment, but in a turbo situation, I wouldn't do a e-Tune for sure... And without a dyno baseline to quantify the work, it's hard to make any gains really tangible. As far as price goes, my work includes up to an hour of dyno time to flash and tweak, not some one time flash off the shelf map. The OPs car took us 45 minutes with 4 flashes to optimize the calibration. :) My 2 Cents! Bob @ Drift-Office, LLC |
Don't get hung up on how the baseline compares to other baselines, there's a million factors that will give you a different result. As long as the dyno setup is the same between runs for your car it'll be consistent for you and that's all that matters.
