Plasti dip fender garnish for BRZ. Satin Black

Today I decided to plastidip the fender garnish area, just the pointy part.

This was my first attempt using plastidip, and spray painting a car piece. I'd like it to have more of a glossy look, but for now I can get a general idea of what it will look like when I have it professionally done.

It was a bit time consuming to do multiple coats, but I like the looks of it!

Just curious, but why not pull the insert off the car?

Good work! Although I'm not a huge fan of the dark on dark (the arrow gets a little washed out IMO). Awesome job though.

I agree with @Burrcold, it doesn't look nice. the end result looks like an unfinished job.

I'd like to have more of a glossy finish, I think I'll take it to a professional paint shop after this one starts to crap out. Its a black/white contrast look I am doing, so it should look fine after all the pieces are put together.

I got the idea from this concept BRZ at SEMA. This one is gloss though.

You can use the glossifier...

I think it looks fine.

Looks good to me too, you would still have to tape it off if you pulled the garnish so no issue with doing it like he did.

The fender garnishes are held on with clips and double sided tape, so there's a chance of damaging something. Plasti Dip peels right off so if you don't like it, it comes right off with little effort.

Question: is the finish on the vent different than the finish on the rest of the body? In your photo I can see the metallic paint effects on the fender, but the vent looks like plain gloss white. Is it just the picture, or do they not match?
