Building Interest on 17x9.5" +38 (5x100) 16.5lbs Silver Enkei RPF1 Group Buy

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2458211

UPDATE! 1/29/13: We had a vendor approach us that is not a forum member. They are a very popular wheel wholesaler and they have already ordered the wheels on their own! The price is right at $910 before shipping!. I need everyone on the list to contact me ASAP or I will be contacting you later today! Within a day or two we will be able to reserve and have our wheels on order regardless of the having ten people. The company ordered them earlier this month and they are in production now!

Update 1/18/12: Damon at TireRack has expressed interest in helping us out with the group buy! Should have group buy pricing worked out this week!

Update 1/19/12: If you would like your name added to the interested list, just get ahold of me here in the thread or via PM.

So I am personally wanting to try to grab a set of 17x9.5" +38 5x100 Enkei RPF1's in silver... but of course this is a special order wheel for us unlucky individuals with the 5x100 bolt pattern. For exact specs of the wheels I am speaking of and a fitment photo, check the end of this post. And this will be for silver ONLY.

This thread is to help me see if there would be any group interest in developing a group buy via a reputable vendor to special order a set of these wheels. 10 sets would need to be ordered or 40 wheels to have Enkei produce them. Luckily a group buy usually allows for a great price under the standard msrp as well.

A 3-5mm spacer up front would be required for the guys with Brembos, otherwise they fit fairly nicely other than what I consider normal/basic fender modification in the rear.

Post up if you have any interest or any fitment questions. If I cannot answer them, I will consult t3hclap as anyone with wheel fitment questions should. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/imag...lies/smile.gif

note: Yes a hub swap to 5x114 to have a better selection of wheels is a viable option, but I need to stick to my stock hubs personally for a racing class and I am sure others would like to keep their stock hubs for other reasons as well.

Wheel Specs:

Did these get ordered?

Anyone have pics of how these fitted to the 86/brz?

Keen to see how 9.5 fit.

Cause 9 look good but 9.5 might look even better :D

miodculae 03-24-2013 06:50 PM

what size tire would be a good fit for a 9.5 rim ?

a size that will safely tuck the rim lip and not expose it to curb rash.
