Not a fan of pavement queen trucks. They're hard to see around, the lights(usually HID) are always at the perfect height to blind me, and I hate... HATE when the D-bag in the diesel does a fly by with his straight pipe exhaust. I'd love to get some payback but I've got a moral standing on messing with someone's vehicle.

Lifted trucks and slammed/hellaflushed are the same IMO, just different crowds.

If you are gonna lift your truck, its just like modding a BRZ or FRS, if the mod isnt with a purpose, or scientifically founded, some tend to see it as a waste of time, tho everyone has a right to preference, and fun, their way. Lots of folks do stuff for looks and sound, tho, I dont hate, but it IS fun to make fun of a silly mod-sorta like watching NASCAR crashes. I enjoy mods that are evolutionary or revolutionary. Its cool to extend the capabilities or design, I get a hard on for sound engineering, YMMV.
Youre at risk of being called a poser, when you mod it and dont drive it to its fullest potential, kinda like those nuts I see hanging from F250's that never see a day of work duty, and guys with low profile 35 series tires on $25k cars that never see the track, nor would they handle right if they did.. lifting a truck without correcting caster is a common mission it seems, sorta like the Jeep Rubicons at the mall with armor all on their 37" tires. ok. never a scuff or scratch on them. I knew a guy who put 35's on his lifted Jeep year after year and NEVER took it off road. why? The factory 31 all season were far better and offered more of that advertised 0.61g of roadholding, for that street vehicle. I lifted my truck so I could go places otherwise unreachable, not sure what you guys do for fun with your lifted trucks, here's a pic I enjoy of my Lifted Land Rover Discovery2, on Ashcroft Axles, Rovertym 4" coils, RTE caster arms, Bilstein Remote short bodied 7100's, ARB's, factory center diff lock, superwinch9k, QT Skids, and Woods shafts. This is on 33's, at a trail in AZ called the Terminator RRnold, nice bumper! |

I'm just here to laugh @Guff using the term "wedding vegetables" and remind him that amputees need love too.

i hate them. especially since i have a mini (headlights on pretty much all cars go straight into my eyes), and whenever i have the topper on, they like to ride on my ass, since they figure delivery drivers will always speed
|
I'd appreciate if they stopped high-beaming me.
And driving next to me because I don't want to die. |
Lifted trucks belong off road sorry. When one of these trucks gets in an accident they practically run over cars because well their bumpers are higher than the trunks of most cars . The other thing i hate is the lack of mud flaps, for the love of god rock chips are the devil and lifted trucks do the devils work....Mudflaps need to be mandatory on any truck, screw your need to look cool.

my other vehicle is lifted. its an 06 tacoma that i use to go offroading in. kinda hard to do when u need the bigger tires on a stock lift. its only a 3 in lift and not stupid like a 12 in lift some people do.

One time I was in my mom's Honda Pilot (which is pretty tall), and I was stopped at this light. A truck lifted well over 1 foot pulls up next to me, and I was pretty distressed because never before had I not been able to see over other cars (or at least through their windows).
Now I have a car that's really short and normal sedans seem like lifted trucks to me. On streets where cars are parked along the curb, during daytime pulling out onto the road is almost like Russian roulette (managed to pull out right in front of someone already, they honked their horn for 30 seconds straight). My rear bumper/engine cover is too low to be visible from the rear window of a normal car, and I've had people almost back into me a few times. I guess I've moved a bit down the food chain. |
I hate them. I hate trucks in general. They are slow, can't stop, can't turn, too loud (usually), waste gas and are ugly.
