rear spoiler on scion frs

hey guys. I recently put a hold on a frs coming from Japan. it left Jan 21 - should be here in Feb. the dealer I got it from said the car comes with a spoiler. does anyone know if it the same spoiler as the Toyotas gt. dealer does not know if it the own spoiler or not. can anyone confirm? thanks:thanks: hoping its the same spoiler

Where I am the spoiler doesn't come with the car you have to purchase it separately

it should be same as BRZ...... saw a bunch on A/T when i got mine..glad it didnt come with it and they were about to put it on..its like a 500$+ add on... i like the AD spoiler lip wing looks more agressive..not a fan of the BRZ wing..it dont flow with the car imo

I doubt it's coming from Japan with the spoiler. That is likely an add-on at the destinatioon port or at the dealer. I've also seen them as a $500 add-on already installed on cars on the lot at the dealer. Along with tinting, the little clear plastic stickers they put on door edges etc that they call paint protection and "Toyoguard". These are all just low value, high mark-up add-ons. One dealer I passed on had all FR-S's for sale with so many add-ons that all cars were above $30,000.

It may be a little soon to be able to order one without add-ons (at least in a given area) as dealers know the demand. Find the right dealer to at least minimize or eliminate the add-on and/or wait until you can order with no add-ons. I got stuck paying for a few hundred dollars of uselessness. But I was too few miles away from some expensive tires and brakes for my BMW trade-in. It would have been more expensive to wait. Do what you gotta do.

It's not the BRZ wing, Scion now has their own optional wing(non-5AD).

That's interesting. I would have loved the BRZ limited because of it's leather but I didn't like it because it included a spoiler. For a car that's just driven on the street I've always considered a spoiler form over function which I try to avoid. That's why I bought the FR-S.

it's probably the lip wing. don't really like it, had the chance to get one with that wing, but wasn't really feeling it. too expensive for what it is

May this thread die...

It's this spoiler that is now a factory option.
