What is included in Scion Service Boost?

So I went to a dealer sponsored event for new owners yesterday which went over the maintenance of the cars.
I got an extended year of scion service boost for my car instead of the normal 2 years, making it 3 years or 35,000 miles total. So I specifically asked what does Toyota Care / Scion Service Boost includes? the service manager giving the speech said it only covers Tire rotation and oil changes nothing else. I specifically asked since the maintenance manual says "Replace Cabin Air Filter" at 15,000 miles or 15 months and Brake flush is required at 30,000 miles or 30 months will those be included in the service boost and the answer was NO.

Even the scion website says "Includes all other recommended services in the maintenance guide and excludes those items listed under the special / severe operating conditions" cabin air filter and brake flush is not special or severe...

Does anyone have any insight in this?

i was curious about this but if you over over the little "2" number it does say oil and filter, tire rotation and multi-point inspection. loving that fine print.

I don't know, as I don't plan on using mine haha

it also says "Includes all other recommended services in the maintenance guide"

Maintenance guide says Cabin air filter at 15K / 15 months and brake flush at 30K /30 months.

why would you not use it? it's included... you can change your oil more frequently and in addition get these oil changes "included"

I know many people "dont trust the dealer" I myself included... but heck if its free they're doing it. and they better do it right. if not they will fix it for me so I dont mind.

But also I goto Longo so they're a HUGE dealer that actually knows what they're doing... (i hope) so i have less to worry about.

I worked at a dealer and have seen them cut corners. They get paid for what they do so the quicker they do it, the more jobs they can get finished and the more working hours they can complete

The dealer I worked at replaced 2 engines while I was there after doing oil changes. People Make mistakes and a lot of times they hire young noncertified people to do basic maintenance

There is a reason the maintenance is free.

My first oil change at the dealer was overfilled by about a quart. So yes, they can and will screw it up.:mad0260:
