My First Ever Accident
 

So December 27 2012 I was going around a narrow street in my neighborhood and hit some black ice. The car hopped the curb and took out a mailbox. My sister was driving in front of me and saw the accident and took the following pics for me.

I took my car to Imperial Autobody in Rockville. On their website they track the progress of your car if you are a Progressive Insurance holder but I have Allstate. In a pic of someone elses car look what I noticed in the background.

I hadn't seen my car in a week so seeing this pic made me really happy. Repairs took so long because there was a bunch of unseen damage under my car so after a re-estimate from Allstate they ordered the necessary parts and have been fixing it all week. I'll either get the car back this evening or tomorrow and post pics.

That's harsh, being without the car for nearly a month.

And I wont be getting the car back until Monday.

how much total? something similar happened to me and it cost $5600, about 1g of that was to replace a side airbag.

That was my mom who showed up later. Sis was talkin to owner of the mailbox.

I ran over a mailbox one winter in WI. Guy was in shower, left my info with his gf. Called before I made it home to say since I stopped, don't worry about the mailbox.

I was happy. Parents were piiiiissed. Lol.
