$500 off at DVN
 

Well I went in to DVN today to cancel my order for a Raven FRS. Of course they kept my deposit BUT...

The salesman told me he would apply my deposit to someone who I referred, and also said if that someone buys a car I would get my deposit back...

It was all verbal so no guarantees but if someone is considering buying any toyota or scion from DVN send me a PM and I will do what I can to hook you up for that $500 off.

Dude go back and demand the deposit be refunded! Talk to the GM and tell them you will be going to OMVIC if they don't. I had absolutely NO problem getting my deposit back TWICE when I had an FR-S on order, and a different BRZ on order.

why are you canceling?

I have gone over the OMVIC and there is nothing there that can get me my money back. The agreement says 'mutual agreement' is the only way to get it back so it is all up to the dealer...

I cancelled because I bought a BRZ Sport Tech instead, same delivery date. I negotiated my BRZ deal with the expectation that i would not buy it if i didn't get discounts at least equal to the deposit I was expecting to lose, which I got, so I'm satisfied.

I would write the letter. That is total bullshit.

DVN is total crap. I would never recommend anyone go there. They're unwilling to negotiate because they're so big and have a huge customer base. Try to negotiate and they'll basically laugh in your face.

Don Valley North has the worst customer service by far of all the dealerships i have gone.

^ agreed. DVN has the worst customer service and won't budge for anyone. But still try your best to get that deposit back man, $500 is a lot of premium gas :P

I just received a phone call from a manager at DVN.. They just called to let me know that my deposit will be refunded to me within 7-10 bus days...

Out of the blue, pleasant surprise.

So sorry I can't offer $500 off a car at DVN anymore!
