Alright to tint windows in winter (cold)?
hey guys
Was wondering if the cold temperatures will affect the tinting process? Also, on the side note, if we get an exhaust system, will it have to be rustproofed? or does this depend on the material its made out of? thanks!! |

If you're not buying a stainless exhaust with a lifetime warranty, please reconsider. Stainless won't need rustproofing. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |
A guy had an Apexi WS2 exhaust on its civic and it crapped on him...so much for spending the money on name brands. If you intend to run in the winter I'd spray it at the very least ???

and Im planning on getting 35% Tints all around. That seem good? Whats your settup? |
Black spray high temp paint. At least on the welds? Not sure it would make much difference though. Winters are like hungry monsters lol

Tint will adhere a lot better in the summer. If you can wait, it is better
|
If you decide to get the windows done , get them done at a place that will give a good warranty then if you have problems just take it back ,I had my corolla tinted in the winter and I didn't have any problems
|
Assuming the actual tinting is done in a heated environment driving out into the cold will have no effect on adhesion. The only side effect of the cold is that remaining solution will evaporate more quickly in hotter temps; but if the install is performed properly the adhesion/quality of the job should be exactly the same.

Yeah it's too cold do worry about my tints so I'm waiting till spring
|
I guess I should just wait until spring.
thanks peeps |
tint can wait, but clear bra can't.

:search:winter will not have an affect on the tint if the installer does it properly. Most installers now a days will bake it on with a torch. I would recommend you ask the installer how he applies the tint first. If he only put it on and semi bakes it with heat gun then leave it till spring. If he bakes it with a torch then you are perfectly fine.
