Gazoo 86 Ready to Defend SP3 Class Crown at 2013 Nurburgring 24 Hour Race
Gazoo Racing will once again be fielding a Toyota GT 86 race car in the 24 Hour Nurburgring endurance race. The Gazoo GT 86 won the SP3 class last year and finished 46th overall.
Gazoo Racing's Toyota GT 86 will once again compete in the SP3 class, while the Lexus LFA will be in the SP8 class. This year’s Nürburgring 24 Hours race will begin on May 17. |
86 will blow away the others again. There is really no competition for other cars in the same class. lol :)

Is this ever televised or streamed online, I can't remember.

On tv in the US I have never seen it. It is streamed, once we get closer to the date I will have a link, if you belong to gtplanet.net they usually put up a link for both nurb. 24 hour race and lemans 24 hours race.

Some people might be thinking about the prototype race in 2011.

- So the first year they managed 3rd on an untested platform, while experimenting on aero and suspension.
- The second year they placed first with at least 1 years worth of fine tuning. Out running the top contender by 2 minutes by lap 129. - Third year, with 2 years worth of fine tuning and testing, they have to continue outrun the contenders. 2. http://cdn-9.motorsport.com/static/i...05649/s1_1.jpg 3. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8154/7...fc099077_z.jpg My Notes to winning; stay out of the pits! the 86 should be balanced enough to not put to much stress on the tires, they can last longer on the track. Fuel consumption should be much better than the other two with DI, which can also be improved by usage of aero. working with a .27 cd and adding small increments of downforce to slightly improve traction and stability will work better, vs gaining more downforce to gain the best possible traction and stability sacrificing top speed. |

I'm talking about this official 86 car for sale on the market now, not the one that was more than a year ago as an unfinished progressed testing car. So any challenger for 86 this time in SP3 class to discuss ? If the Civic R, S2k are among the SP3 class then I would like to see the new Ford Focus ST, GTI, Civic SI are all included this time for a rally fun. 86 is the smallest horsepower car in the group lol :) |
