For sale, a 99 e36 m3 with only 79,000 miles (going up 100 or so miles weekly due to commuting, etc.)
It's the e36 m3 with all of maintenance issues that you would want addressed and more. In addition it is a < 90k mile car, which it seems are getting harder and harder to find.

Previously owned by a series of "waxers". I am an enthusiast who wanted to use it for autocross but I haven't had the chance to yet. Now I'm considering selling it for a brz.

Recently paid the registration again and I have the title in hand.

Engine:
-original, never rebuilt
-no engine modifications
-in the last few months it has received: new air filter, coolant flush, rad cap, spark plugs, and valve cover gasket
-thermostat housing is metal and looks newish to me so I didn't touch it
-acs disabled with bimmerworld elbow. I have to original parts if you want to put it back.
-no vanos issues
-fumoto oil valve with nipple (you hook up a hose to it and have a mess free oil change)

Tranny:
-Fluid flush and change about 10 months ago.
-shifts are smooth and clutch is not slipping.
-new flex disk 8 months ago

Suspension:
-new Koni yellows
-h&r sports
-new endlinks
-new strut top mounts/bearings
-rear strut top reinforcement plates
-new UUC rtabs and alignment

Wheels/tires/brakes:
-11 month old hankooks (5k+ miles on them)
-powder coated wheels (DS II's)
-new rotors, pads, and fluid a couple of months ago.

Interior:
-alpine stere with iPod/iPhone in....I also have the cable to make it just aux in...you can swap it out
-removed front mid speakers and upgraded kick panel woofers with pioneer units
-working AC
-working Computer
-driver side: sparco evo on planted base
-pass side: sparco r100 on planted base and sparco sliders
-zhp knob

Exterior:
8.5/10
-the car was garaged by the PO and is garaged by me. It came with a nice bavauto car cover which tells me it was under a cover or in a garage for most of its life. I unfortunately sold the car cover, because I have a garage.
-small dings and dents here and there, but great for its age
-euro rear tail lights
-zkw headlamps with hids and angel eyes
-clear corners
-new rear windshield rain gutter
-one of the side skirts was lose when I got the car and water was trapping itself between the plastic and the metal. This caused a little bit of surface rust. It has been sanded off and treated with the POR 15 system.
-new rear brake light switch (most annoying maintenance thing to fix on a car ever)
-nice side mount front license place holder (it was $65 which I thought was excessive at the time)

The bad:
-had a minor fender bender with the PO. Someone put a crease in a front fender backing into it in a parking lot. I can't tell which one because it was fixed well enough.
-ps leak i mentioned before is fixed via a new reservoir

Other:
BMW factory alarm system (which was an extra the original owner paid an arm and a leg for)
Original window sticker and some other docs
All of the emergency toolkit is present
Contour spare tire/wheel is in good shape
Comes with spare ps fluid and coolant
leather care stuff also conveys
airbag light is on because i didn't hook up the old seatbelt receptacles...you can swap the seats or hook up a receptacle and clear the codes and you are good to go. Airbags should still deploy in an accident regardless.

I've actually been looking for one. Need to get my FR-S sold first though.
Those vaders look like they are in great shape, I don't see anything in the way of cracking.
If you're not in a hurry I may have cash in hand by end of February. If you still have this by then, do you think you would be willing to meet me half way, San Diego is about a 9 hour drive from where I'm at in Nor-Cal.
Any idea why/when the Contour's were swapped out for the DSII's?
