can I get a re work tint from dealer?

Got my frs like 2 weeks now and had a 800$ window add on tint from dealer and im going to dealer to get my alarm set up working today.. my question is can I get my window re tint/ re worked? Im not feeling 100 % satisfied with the job plus its a rip off price... is this something I can complain about while im there ?

Theres a cut on the side rubber from a blade I assume..was there already..but the other side has no cuts..

Also some bubbling and air pocket that might spread overtime:iono: and lints I can see on the rear side windows..

800 for tint? Holy crap. Find a reputable tint shop man. The dealer is just gonna keep fucking it up. I paid 130 in New York and it was a perfect job.

Hmm... I paid around $250 to have a tint shop do my last car and lifetime guarantee against crap like that...

Hold it... that cut is on the outside? the guy installing tint would have never touched the outside with a blade...

Yes, $800 is ridiculous for tinting, and they sure did a crappy job. I'd fight like hell just to get my money back, then take a couple hundred to a good tint shop and get it done right.

Wow! Even for ceramic tint, $800 would be crazy. And they usually just send the car down the street to the closest tint shop. I paid just over $200 and really only one minor imperfection that I may or may not bring back to them to correct. Most reputable shops guarantee their work and will fix anything they botched. Approximately two weeks is sufficient to get rid of most imperfections as long as the temperatures are warm to hot. Tint likes it hot to better adhere. If temperatures are cool, it will sometimes take longer.

lolwut, you paid almost a g for tint? Man why...

Burrcold 01-22-2013 11:56 PM

Activate security alarm $795??? What the hell is that?

Did you not question these costs when signing? The dealer completely reamed you!

marky 01-23-2013 12:05 AM

yeah they got me good... taking my business elsewhere:mad0259: i was out of it when i was there hungry and wanted to get the heck out of there.. tomorrow im suppose to get re tint and get my alarm set up.... talked to the salesmen and they just like one ear out the other but thanks for the money suckers:bs:

other dealer that called me today said that call relation about that and its not right... i know calling the salesmen wont do anything....

Demandred7 01-23-2013 12:15 AM

Definitely go to head office / customer relations for that BS. Scion/Toyota should be embarassed by the highway robbery going on there.

fistpoint 01-23-2013 12:16 AM

Um...why did you pay for the tint in the first place? You should have told them to lower it to a reasonable price of $250 at the absolute maximum while pointing out you can have one of dozens of local shops do it for $150. Make them feel proud of the additional $100 on top they are getting.

Again I have to ask, why the hell did you even consider for a single nanosecond paying anything even remotely close to $400(like many ASSHOLE dealers charge) for tint, let alone $900? W!T!F!

Now that we're done yelling at you, hell yes you can take it back. All you have to do is not accept no for an answer. Simply do not take no, do not do not do not. The worst thing they could say is that there is a 30 day warranty on it, which you still have time left on.

Lonewolf 01-23-2013 12:20 AM

You had the power before you signed the papers, now, all that's left is complaining to corporate and the general manager of the dealership.

Kyubi 01-23-2013 12:27 AM

My dealer threw in free window tinting, Ill tell you what I think when I get it haha
