I used Solarstyle at Eagle farm for my tint they are now Opticoat dealers as well very, very highly recommended.

how much for tint and coat with solarstyle?

Panman 01-20-2013 11:48 PM

I didn't get mine opticoated but Tint was very reasonably priced (significantly cheaper than the bigger chains). I got the CXP darkest legal and am very happy with it.

I can thoroughly recommend these guys. Kim does the opti-coat etc and he has a sub contractor that does the tinting for him. They both did an excellent job on my 86, thorough and reliable. They have also done plenty of 86's already so they have it down pat as far as not messing up each others work and the brake light thing as well as the window dip thing when opening the door.
I'm pretty sure the standard package is 3m tint, paint correction, preparation and opti coat for $799. Mine looks fantastic.

Good luck.

Hi Guys,

Planning on contacting Kim from http://www.detailevolution.com this weekend to sort out some opti-coating for the 86.

Initially I was not going to do this as the car that I managed to track down had the whole fifth dimension paint protection pack from the dealership (which thankfully I didn't fork out extra for :)

Anyway I got some nasty bird poo and sap on the car last week which took me a couple of days to get around to cleaning, and unfortunately there is some really nasty discoloration in the paint mainly where the bird poo was (must of been an ibis cause it covered a decent portion of the back right quarter panel!!).

Just wondering is this type of damage reversible? It is something I should try to fix prior to getting the opti-coat or is part of the prep they do try and fix such issues?

Cheers Guys.

Just give Kim a ring mate and he will tell you whether to leave it for him to sort or not. He is always ready with good advice and you won't go wrong using him to treat your car. He spent more than 6 hours on mine to get it as good as possible and I am more than happy to recommend him :w00t:
