Post your winter beater.
1 Attachment(s)
Many of us here in the Great White North have our FR-S/BRZ's tucked away for winter hibernation. Those that haven't are having lots of tail-out fun. I used to drive my RX-7 and MR-2 in the winter and it was such a blast.
But, this time around I really wanted to baby this car, Lenore. In the (hopefully) near future their will be mods that would make winter driving silly as opposed to fun. So in November I picked up a 1996 Corolla DX, which my 3-year old son named "The Duck" for $400. Here it is in all of it's 115 horsepower, 3-speed automatic glory. I think half of the horses have left the corral. But, it's the perfect winter beater. What are you driving this winter, if you've put your 86 away 'til spring? |

^^ How are those roof racks working out with the frameless windows?
Here's mine: http://farm9.static.flickr.com/8478/...35f4279b_b.jpg |
1988 GMC C1500 that I started restoring before the snow. As a bonus I also use it to tow the car to where it needs to go in the winter (saw hail damage, and the closest body shop for that is 100km away)

1998 Toyota Tercel... Strangely enough my first car was a 1993 Tercel... talk about nostalgia!

I was going to drive my 92' Buick Riviera....
but then one day on the way to work the fucking brakes went, just as I was about to get on the highway. I turned around and went home... drove the FRS to work and never looked back. Sick of repairing that old thing. |
was the winter beater until the engine went kaboom. currently in for a rebuild.

Working great I don't leave them on all the time though, just for trips to the mountain. |

I bought the BRZ as my "Winter Sports Car".

for those of you driving in Canada in the winter, did you get it rust proofed? if so, where?
|
I got mine done at this place in Bowmanville called "bobs oil rustproofing"
I watched them do it, they were pretty thorough. Cost about $80 |
