I noticed that this is the ONLY forum I've EVER been on... EVER. That has forum vendors that also moderate.

I find this to be a huge conflict of interest, has this been brought up yet? Did I miss it? Just wondering and would love it to be addressed.

There's only one of those that I know of and he was a moderator first. I've seen it before though. He's also a regional mod not a global mod.

Vendors can only moderate their own sections and threads made by them to help their business.

It was brought to our attention to give them limited power just recently because of trolling and attacking each other. Its counter-productive.

Even so, It still doesn't protect them from bad reviews from other members, and they themselves can be banned even if they are vendors, if they do not follow the rules we have set for website.

If I were using my power to harm the sales of competitors of the only thing I sell (armrest), than I would say it is a huge conflict of interest. I have never gone into any of the competitors armrest threads to bash them or talk bad about them, or even delete posts (I can't because I only moderate a region as @Dave-ROR correctly stated). Furthermore, I have even gone to one of the competing armrest threads and complimented the nice piece of hardware it is.

I can also see this being a problem if I was a big vendor, who is selling several products that other vendors also sell, but that is not the case. I only sell one product (armrest) and it is handcrafted at a friend's house.

I appreciate your concern and understand where you are coming from, but I believe given the circumstances by which I am a vendor and moderator, there is no conflict of interest.


I believe you are talking about all vendors in general, but since this thread was made specifically about me and for the sake of clarity, I have not trolled or attacked any vendors. :w00t:

Not true. As far as I knew, it was more than one person doing this.

Seven, this thread was created for Moderators who are also vendors right? That is what your first post says. I am the Only vendor/moderator, so that is why I said this thread was made because of me.

Got ya. I noticed you were, but thought JoeBoxer was as well as a few others. Maybe I'm out of touch on that.

Some good came of this thread. I hadn't seen the armrest by @Sportsguy83 and although I have two already his one seems to combine what I like about the two I already have into the one perfect armrest. Wide enough to cover the whole console but a little shorter to easily access some storage.

I've just ordered one!

As far as I know Sportsguy83 is the only one. JoeBoxer does not moderate any subforum here as far as I know.

Nope, not that I haven't asked but I agree that would be a conflict of interest. I'm trying to get a group buy set up for the stealthbox and move this Stillen aero I have in stock and I am most likely done as a vendor.
