Michelin Pilot Super Sports Warrenty?
Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knows how the Michelin tread life warranty works? The Super Sports have a 6 year/30,000 mile tread life warranty. I track my car a couple times a year and have never gotten that much mileage on a tire. I read through the Michelin pamphlet and it says the warranty is void if "racing", but it doesn't say anything about bringing your car on a track. Thanks for the help guys. |
Don't disclose that fact that you track it, Make sure that the rear tires aren't significantly worse than the fronts, Michelin Promise Plan is pretty good about warranty, however they don't just replace your tires, they prorate new ones based on how long/how many miles you have put on your tires. http://www.michelinman.com/mediabin/...warranties.pdf

FYI if you're running staggered
*Some vehicles come from the vehicle manufacturer with “split fitments”— meaning different size tires on the front and rear axles. Because these tires cannot be rotated as recommended by Michelin, the mileage warranty on each rear tire will cover half the number of miles as the standard mileage warranty for that particular tire design. |
Lol. Tires and warranty. Only warranty you should be concerned about is from unforseen damage. Not usage.

I don't have any reason to spend that much on a tire outside of racing compounds. I'd rather burn up some Komo MXs for daily use. |
I've had two tread warranty claims on Super Sports on a staggered car. They paid both times, no problem. It helped that I had recent alignments.
