New Supra and Sub-86? 12/4/2011

Well... Not from the most respectable source, but it's pretty interesting. Where would the Sub 86 fit in the USA? I mean that Niche is taken by the TC am I right?

Discuss?

and yeah... Im sure GUFF will have a new Supra will they come out with one LOL.

Well maybe they should start selling the 86 first and see how things go. I have ben hearing about a new Supra for years now. Will believe when I see one on my dealers lot. Until then, it is just rumors.

That's what I've said about the NSX and apprantely it's got another concept coming to Detroit. And what ever it was running in that Avenger Movie as Tony Stark's car.

Yes, but now Toyota has someone who can build performance cars for them.

Wait? I don't think they will make an H6 supra? If toyota build the supra again I guess it will be a V6 (Damn I wish if they make inline-6 comeback )

No, they're talking about a production version of the Toyota T-Sport concept. Two seats, rwd, 1.3L ~110 hp, >2000 lbs. Basically, a modern day Yotahachi.

Germans like bmw and mercedes are coming back on the L6 (well bmw never gave up on it anyway) so maybe the japanese engineers will follow.

From what i've read L6 is lighter, smoother, and is more resistant due to the simplicity of the layout(in most cases) , but it is simply huge compared to a v6 that can be placed in a much more compact engine bay, is easier to manage COG wise, etc... Dunno about emissions tho.
Sounds like give and take really, but the L6 doesn't look outdated to me.

I wish they make another MR2 instead and more like the SW20 style and not the Spyder style. Even thought that's a nice car I've owned one. But this new thing isn't too bad... I just don't see how it will be successful since the MRS wasn't like the biggest thing here in the USA.

And wasn't BMW stepping away from L6?

i dont think the mr2 failed because it was lightweight and all that jazz. i think it was because most people thought it was ugly. that toyota is basically a miata which has sold rather well considering its niche. while i liked the sw20 its my least favorite mr2

yeah im pretty sure bmw was

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!:happyanim:

At this rate I'll be filing bankruptcy soon...

Also, NO V6!!! Absolutely not! It'll either be an I6 or some amazing new tech in an H6. I can't be seen in a car with a conventional engine.

It also has to be bulletproof. I wanna make 800hp with bolt ons.

Why settle for 800hp, why not 1000hp?

Also, if you are expecting 800hp with bolt ons, then you are expecting what 600-650hp stock? You ready to pay over $100k then?

Yup, we had this discussion before and I said there and I gonna say it here too.

If they release this car, I would totally buy it. IDK why, but I do like this car design & concept idea behind it

Question for you, would you pick it over the BRZ/FRS?

Nope, 360hp stock. And it should cost $35k. And if I put enough stickers, I suppose it could have 1000hp...

Just so you know, I'm only being facetious. For the lulz, as the youngsters say.
