Subaru BRZ colors not yet released?

Am I correct in stating that the BRZ colors have not been released just yet?

Only WRB and white?

These were GT86 colors your source was describing.

I do not believe we have official colors yet, however based on twitter comments from the editor and chief of motor trend...
BRZ to be available in 7 colors: black, pearl white, dark blue, silver, dark gray, and WRX blue

So basically, they are probably the same colors as the FR-S, but with the FR-S having orange only, and the BRZ having WRB only.

the colors are still going to vary. red on the frs isnt going to be the same red used on the brz etc etc

bambbrose 12-04-2011 01:55 PM

Do you have a source to confirm this? As they are coming from the exact same factory, that seems unlikely to me.

nrclptcnsmniak 12-04-2011 02:20 PM

nope but im willing to bet my left foot. i cant see the cars having the exact same color codes as one another and the only differing colors being orange and wrb.

The colors are really close, it makes me think if they just renamed some of the colors to appeal to their respective markets. There's alot of R&D that goes behind the way things are named. From a business perspective, its easier to change a name than create an entirely new line of paints which may lead to inefficiency during the production stage.

Monkey ass red would have been killer. :brokenheart:

Looks like no yellow or the lovely Subaru orange colour

Oh well either plasma blue which looks fantastic on STi or play it safe with WR blue

I'll go ahead and take that bet. Dark grey of the Fr-s is clearly subarus color, as well as their white. Hopefully they differ but I doubt each manufac will have more than 1 unique color

nrclptcnsmniak 12-04-2011 03:37 PM

They might look the same but it comes down to color code. We shall wait and see. And besides you think Toyota is gonna share the same crap paint that Subaru uses on their models? :p ::sarcasm::

ZetaVI 12-04-2011 04:50 PM

Well for certain I'm not getting the blue or white. I'm sure they will have similar color options but i think Subaru will be more premium.
