Filtermag has arrived
4 Attachment(s)
I bought this from http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...Term=filtermag
I like the concept and looks superior to a drain plug magnet. Yeah, the magnets are f**king strong. I can't pull the device off, it has to be slidden off the top of the filter. Attachment 121265 Attachment 121266 Attachment 121267 Attachment 121268 |
Where is all that metal coming from? I would just change the filter regularly instead. If you have serious metal going through your filter then you have a serious problem with your engine.
It can really only come from the camshaft timing chains and sprockets anyway. |
Haha! I bought the red one too. I tried to take it off and gave up, figuring that it'd only slide off those few times I do an oil change.

Thanks Captain. Think I'll grab one too.

Good idea since I went and bought a fumoto valve and was missing the magnetic plug for easy changes.

Just wondering, do I need 2 of these to cover the whole circumference of the oil filter or will one filtermag on one side do? :)
