Fuel pump issue.

So i brought my frs into Orland toyota today because i thought
i had a loose belt tensioner or something...Weird sound coming
From engine bay. And they gave her a look and came back with
the fuel pump is making strange sounds. So i have a new fuel
pump ordered, should be a few weeks before it comes in, they
said its fine to drive its just " a nuisance sound originating from
the fuel pump". So i guess ill see how this plays out.... :mad0260:

If im not mistaken, this is the same issue everyone has, even the new pump isnt going to fix it, it will just come right back.

Because it is the fuel pump and for some people the replacement has worked.

If you bothered to skim at least the first page of threads in this sub-forum, you would've quickly discovered how it's gonna go.

I have about 2500 on my new pump, no chirping. Keeping my fingers crossed, although it was about 4500 miles before it started on my original.

sevi21 02-01-2013 10:57 AM

Well got my new fuel pump installed yesterday. And it sounds great now!!!
At least for the time being haha

Orland Toyota did a great job with getting it done in one day hassle free
