DRL

Is there a way to disable this without taking it back to the dealer? Im curious because I'm back and forth between switching out to an LED, or not having the DRL at all.

Why not just run the standard bulbs until you get the LEDs? Switching them out should only take a couple minutes when you get them.

I know the bulbs dont cost much, but I don't have the money to spend on a (high quality) HID kit. I know I can turn to DDM Tuning and get a set for around $70. No DRLs would just be a current fix until I manage to find color matched DRLs + HIDs. Are you still running the OEM DRLs?

Unplug the DRL resistor. It disables them without killing your high beams. Look in the DIY section.

The dealer disabled mine for free with Techstream, why not just go that route?

Why don't you like DRL's? You legally have to have them here in Canada and I appreciate that.

I too believe that DRLs are a benefit. My experience has been that it helps with visibility and that in turn helps with accident avoidance. If you're driving a huge SUV... maybe not so much.. but with a low, small car like the FRS.. it could mean the diff between hit or near miss.

Replace drl relay with horn relay equivalent. Done.

It is the software Toyota uses to scan and change setting on your car. They plug in a cable, push a few buttons, and bam, no DRLs.
