Anyone go from a 06-11 Civic Si to an FR-S/BRZ? Opinions/ Knowledge needed!

I'm still on the fence about jumping into a 2013 Scion FR-S (Manual) or sticking with my 2011 Civic Si (leasing). I've owned my Si for almost 2 years and i've probably invested around 1500-2000 into it. (Mainly Honda options like aero kit, exhaust, lighting, etc etc). Not to worried about losing what i've invested.

Quick background: 23 years old, 9 year relationship, no kids (not for at least 7 years). Location: Vancouver, BC (Rain Forest) Driven Hondas all my life.

My big concerns are going from a car with "more options" to a car with "less options", overall reliability and an extra $100 a month in payments (leasing). Things like sunroof, better interior materials (seat fabrics), no foglights will be lost when making the swap.

My dad also rags on me for wanting this car because of the Boxer motor and the rear seats (i'll use my rear seats 10 times a year). My dad has a long hated history with subaru. He has worked in automotive sales both new and old over the last 40 years so i'm sure he's seen his fair share of car issues. The guy loves toyota and honda but couldnt be bothered with subaru. I'm convinced if this car was 100% toyota, I would have had one launch day. I'm an adult and ultimately the choice of which car I decide to go with is up to me but I do like to have my dad's opinions involved aswell.

So i ask, 06-11 civic si members and others, Is it worth making the swap? More to gain than to lose?

Thanks in advance!

This is highly recommended. Long threads with lots of input.
