Dual Color Dome Light
This is something I would really like to do. I have footwell lighting and I plan to do courtesy door lighting, both of which are/will be red. The door lighting will be connected to the "DOOR" function on the dome light. I would like the "DOOR" function on the dome light to be red, but I would like it to switch to white when switched to the "ON" position.
I really just want to know if two separate power sources can be output from the dome light: one from "DOOR" and one from "ON". I can make the dual colored bulb/panel my self. Thanks, Kev |
I dont see why not as long as dual bulbs are being used. The door power going to the red bulb and the on power going to the white. Idk if wiring them into one panel would be smart because if you happen to have both on at the same time it MIGHT be too much power and blow a fuse or the bulbs.

It would be a safe amount of SMDs (LEDs), but divided in half: half for each color. The thing is that the "DOOR" would have to be disable when ever the "ON" is activated, no matter what the circumstance is. Or else you would have a clash of color and white at the same time. This may have to be in the bulb/panel itself.
