This is a great option for the standard models.
Available in the States from mid Jan.

What you think the price will be?

Afzal 01-14-2013 07:51 AM

so the fog light comes off completely?? mmmm.

Ryan86 01-14-2013 08:01 AM

I have confirmed this unit replaces the current housing and fits the GT86.
Cost I have at the moment R1575 shipped to SA, duties around R200, so all in all estimated Under R2000.

I'll rather keep my fogs. I suppose it's ok for the FRS guys in the states that does't come with fogs.

Now an idea might be angel-eye style fogs that double as daytime driving lights with the ring around the foglight lighting up on start? Hope the designers are reading this... Will be a real hit in ZA.

Fogs are illegal to use in most cases in SA(unless there's fog) anyway so it's fine, you don't need them. :D

But just about every BMW driver uses their back foglights every night... :bonk:

Well it is well documented that they are against the law, I myself have never heard of any cases of prosecution. I was sitting behind an Audi A7 this afternoon and it has this wonderful windscreen-wide high-level LED brake light. Now that would be nice on an 86! :)

With our useless traffic cops, I'm not surprised.

3.15 inches = 8cm
Just measured our fogs. They are 8.5cm
So there will be a 2.5mm all around the fog :(
