Most popular brand of tyre?

Not sure if this has been done before, but thought I'd do a poll checking the most popular brand of A/M tyre brand for our 86/BRZ/FR-S.

I'm partial to Michelins as I've always found their tires to be quality and handle the rough roads on my commutes. Although I'm on Continental right now I plan to get Michelin for summer wheels.

Continental now but had nitto also.

Bridgestone RE-11 and LM-60 on my car. I've also used the Yokohama AD07 on my old car and loved them, but now the have the AD08 which are slightly better so that's my 2nd choice. 3rd choice would be Dunlop Star Spec. Ran Toyo R888 before and while they are great when completely dry, they suck in the rain and wear out VERY quickly.

Love my hankook v12 evo's

I actually have two sets, one for winter and one for summer. Voted with my summers since they stay on longer.

Went with the Nitto Motivos

You forgot Falken

I have Hankook winters but I dont think that's the point of this poll.

I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports on order with my summer rims, got a good price and it's hard to argue with the performance of these tires.

I'm actually surprised that Michelin is in the lead. I'm guessing those are all Pilot Sport/Pilot Super Sport.

I think I could probably get around 10-12k miles out of them if doing street only and depending on how 'spirited' you drive. I was in a Lotus Elise when I had them though so they may not last that long on a heavier car.

King Tut 03-07-2013 02:20 PM

I am surprised you were able to get 10,000 miles out of a set. They are R comps, not street tires.

Currently running Dunlop WinterSport M3s.

Late March I'll go to Dunlop Direzza ZIIs.
