Side markers & parking lights don't work

Checked all fuses, they are all fine. (And turn signals work) I actually rather the side markers and parking lights off, but I want to know how to fix it. I was putting in led switchbacks when this issue occurred. Oh and I did install the relay for the led turn signals.

Fuse. Check again. Unless you disconnected something when you installed the digital flasher.

I put the stock bulbs back in, and I guess I'll take it to the dealership. Hopefully they won't not fix it cause of the led thing....
Does changing that relay void the warranty?

Tail lights aren't working. Double checked all fuses- they are working. Brake lights work. No license plate lights either

Is there a reason for why you haven't taken it to the dealer?

Cajun 01-12-2013 09:45 PM

This all happened this afternoon. I don't have my stock relay and I'm assuming they'll say something about it. Granted my turn signals work fine

Cajun 01-12-2013 11:01 PM

Anyone have any insight??
Checked the fuses again, and all are fine.

boredom.is.me 01-12-2013 11:13 PM

So put it back to stock and try again.

The aftermarket relay should look extremely similar to the OEM relay, I don't think they would notice. Last resort, change it to the stock relay. Not hard at all.

Maybe you fried something installing the aftermarket relay?

Cajun 01-13-2013 08:46 AM

I installed the relay last week. Everything worked fine other than having to replace a fuse. That relay is for the turn signals, my turn signals are working.

This is the stock relay, so I can't put it back in...

I'd get another stock relay before you go to the dealer. Perhaps look up the fuses in the manual. There is a fuse box under the hood as well as under the dash AFAiK.

The fact that you blew s fuse changing a relay is an issue. You should disconnect all accessory power when doing electrical mods.

I'm still betting on undiscovered fuse issue. Pull the specific fuse as per manual.
Also inspect the area around the relay for open connections.

This is a simple fix I am sure. No multimeter required for sure.

We checked both fuse boxes. That's what I don't get, they are all showing to be fine (even using a multimeter). The relay was changed last week, and just for the turn signals. But those are working. When u say get a stock relay, do you mean like from auto zone or from Toyota? If its from Toyota I'm sure that would take forever to come in. I have no taillights, and I go to work and come home from work in the dark.
Is there one fuse for the side markers, parking lights, and taillights? The manual isn't very helpful with specifying those. If those same bulbs are working as turn signals, but not parking lights, it seems it would be a simple fix. Just want to know how lol

Cajun 01-13-2013 10:26 AM

Oh my god i fixed it. I looked on other scion forums and someone posted that one fuse will just say tails, but it controls the side markers and parking lights too. So I tested that fuse for the third time, it was a ok. But I changed it anyway, cause I also read that sometimes fuses appear to be good when they aren't. And it worked!! Woop!! Thanks for all yall's help!! (Can u tell my Cajun is coming out lol (y'all))
