Dear Michigan, how's this year's Auto Show?
 

Very excited for this year's Auto Show in Chicago. Michigan folks, how was your experience and which cars really stood out? Photos would be awesome! Thanks in advance!

Industry days aren't until next wednesday/thursday, charity show is friday, public show doesn't start until saturday the 19th.

I digress, I got confused with pictures of cars that were supposedly to be unveiled at Detroit. Thanks for the heads up.

The C7 Vette was nice. Kinda busy - lots of vents and creases - but it works. Jag had their new F-type, which looked a little like a big Miata. In my book, that's one of the best hings you can say about a car. Porsche's 2013 Cayman looked suspiciously like the 2012 Cayman, same with the 911. It seems like last year's show had more new stuff. Oh, but the girls at the Maserati booth - WOW.

Insofar as sports cars this Nissan GTR was the most memorable if not just the color:

Awesome to hear the new Cayman will be there. Did you see the new IS? The main reason for me will be the C7 Stingray.

I know not everyone agrees, but all I can think is "nice ass!"

When is the show in Chi-town? I might drive over for another chance to see the cars.

My focus at the NAIAS was mostly performance cars. I found the new Vette mostly meh. But I am a fan of the curvy Vette's (C3, C6 etc definitely not C4) and I find the new rear overwrought.

Anyway, the Viper was a must-see. The SRT booth doesn't let you touch the car, but the Mopar booth has a yellow one where you can touch the car and see the paint/detail upclose.

The F12 Berlinetta was there, so, that was something to gawk at. Couple of Maserati Gran Turismo's too.

Oh, do check out the BMW M6 and the 4 series coupe. Very good-looking cars.

There's a FRS with the FiveAxis lip and spoiler in the Scion booth and a WRB BRZ in the Subaru booth.

There's the usual BMW, Audi, MB spread. The gold GT-R was pretty interesting to see.
