I currently run with the MX5 Club of Queensland and apart from MX5's we have invitees with other makes that are welcome to have a go

Simple format, entry fee, AASA licence which can be purchased at either location for a day/year, helmet etc

A CTP extension is required, but that's just a matter of ringing your CTP Insurer and requesting one, nominating the registration number and the date required - most CTP Insurers do not charge. This is a State requirement. CTP is the Insurer on your rego papers, not necessarily the one you have insured the car with

With around 40 entrants, competitors would generally get 5/6 runs, each being 'warm up' lap, 5 x flying and a lead out lap. Cars are grouped according to lap times and around 10-12 each group

Cars head out around 5 secs apart as it's NOT about racing the other guy 'door-to-door', it's about lap times and trying to better each time out. Some simple rules outlined at Drivers' Briefing and a reminder that there is NO overtaking on corners [a safety issue when most competitors are in their 'daily drives'

Days are held on Mondays, reason is track hire costs are considerably cheaper, a weekend day would mean prohibitive entry fees
