I agree with you man just about everyone I looked at I was like WTF are people doing to this car? This car looks perfectly fine without all those rediculous wings, carbon fiber, unfunctional styling etc etc. Im sure some parts are actually functional but Its like a flashback to the first fast and furious era which is not needed with this car. Like you said its a great car for under 30k, its not an audi, lexus, etc. So why try to make it look like one? I love the crap out of my car and seeing crap like this discusts me, wheres the effort to improve actual performance? Id love to see that rather than these BS builds.

thank god for this post.

there were a few with performance mods. Only one that actually looked good was top fuel.

What are these wheels? I can see that the Hubs are red but I could not tell what they were in the video I saw on YouTube.

Do my eyes deceive me or are these CRYSTALEYE tails different from the three (smoked, red, clear) available on the website?

They look purplish... Is this done using a different tint or how?

I would guess they are clear with a light smoke tint.

They are the new Gram Light 57 FXX. Their supposed to be available by the middle of 2013 for our cars. Right now they are only available in 20" sizes I believe.

This one is by far the worst ones I've seen to date. I doubt there's much functionality on the plexiglass reinforced GT-Wing stems/legs. Don't get me started on the black tumors on the roof, they won't diffuse any air with those rounded lumps. Worst exhaust I've seen, period. Looks like HVAC ducting.

That isnt reenforcement, its there to increase stability while sideways.

Yerp. There's been a lot of talk about these for the last few months. Mackin/Volk has been pretty hush hush but our vendors are leaning on them for more info.

Since we saw so many cars at TAS 2013 rocking them it's just a matter of time before their available in sizes to accomodate the twins. I'd say by second quarter 2013 we should be good to go.

Rays always does it right, year after year.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the car is going side ways, and there's more surface area with the plexiglass, would it not create more air resistance? Seems counter productive to drifting when resistance is giving the tendency to straighten out the car rather than giving the car better angle. If this were run on a windy area while drifting, that plexiglass is going to catch wind more so than if it weren't there at all.

Not a drifter by any means, so I don't know any better. But from all the teams other that do drift, they seem to want to minimize surface area to the side of the spoilers and such.
