MY BRZ IS GOING TO ARRIVE ANY DAY NOW I NEED HELP!!!

I just got an email from my dealer saying my car will arrive any day now. I got my VIN. Last four digit is 5852

Can you guys tell me if this is a later production model with tail light issues fixed? and engine chirping issues fixed?

What else should I do to welcome my baby home? red carpet? buy a bigger bed so i can sleep with her?

Production fixes for the taillights went in months ago. Chirping issues appear to be unresolved and replacing the pump only temporarily alleviates the issue.

That said, it appears that my right taillight MAY have condensation problems and I have a VIN way after the production fix was incorporated.

Mine showed up Monday finally, transaction was easy, although I have a question..... there are two clear pieces on the door frames on both the passenger and drivers side - I noticed them the second day, service department says they are rock guards? I'm close to where draco's car is almost everyday and I noticed he doesn't have them, nor can I find them on pictures I've seen..... Wondering if the dealer is full of it, or if its something new..... anyone know? :-)

I think protecting your paint is one of the first things you should do! At least a partial clear bra (xpel ultimate) and possibly optiguard. Just my opinion though! Some think differently.

It's all able to be fixed under warranty so i wouldn't worry to much.

I also have a VIN# way after the supposed fixed chirping issue, but it still sings me a song.

Get your credit card ready for after market stuff...the car arriving is only the beginning.

I know everything can be fixed under warranty but i just hate to have to call the dealer everytime a problem comes up and make appointments and not being able to drive it.

I got mine in early October. I only see 1 tail light that gets a slight condensation when I wash it. I'm going to wait a while until it is completely fixed before I take it into the dealer to get replaced. No chirping for me...at least I don't hear it.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It is a pain to go in but tell them you want to test drive a sti while you wait >:D

Oh and congrats on getting the car :)
...You are going to LOVE it.

Yeah I understand that. My dealer isn't even close to my house lol.

One of the other FR-S owners in the Houston86 Club mentioned about 2oz of 2-cycle oil every other tank of gas helps with the chirping noise.
I did some reading and this little amount shouldn't have any effect on the O2 sensors. I'm planning on giving this a try.
