First run 86's (Space Saver question)
Hey,
I've got first run 86's before the Sept update release. Want to know if you guys have put a space saver wheel in and what did you do about the boot liner? is there one that is as ruggeder as the one i have no just without the hump at all? If so how much did the wheel cost? |
Hey
Yes there is a flat boot liner option. In fact I bought one myself. It's the same rugged material, same design, as the first run, just no hump for the wheel. Part number: PZQ2014040 From the TRD parts department at North Shore Toyota you can get it for around about NZ$164.57 + GST + Shipping. They may be able to give you a discount as well. Not sure what Australian pricing is like. Photo courtesy of nzer: https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...24704212_n.jpg |

STI Trunk Mat for BRZ (J5017CA000) - 9,870yen.
So about $105. My shipping was $115 for ems but I ordered heaps of stuff together. Make sure you test fit the space savers on the fronts they will prob clear rear oem calipers ok but I went through a few b4 I found one that cleared the fronts. Ended up going for an STI one to clear my brembos in the future. Very hard to find, got it in the states and used ShipItTo to redirect it to me here. |

I seen a couple forester ones that i am going to go test fit. Since you have already done all the hard work thought i;d ask :D |
The first one was an unknown 5x100 subaru from a local wreckers. The STI was a listing from this ebay store but they wouldn't ship international.

Or just any subie space saver (mine was just from a wrx) and o the very rare occasion that u need it it will be fine if it's a rear puncture but if it's a front then put the spare on the rear and swap the good rear to the front. Will take an extra 15 mins to do and even then it's only a 50 50 chance too
