2013 Atlanta Auto Show Info

I know it's a few months out, but I just wanted to let everyone know that this year's Atlanta Auto Show will be held from March 13-17 (that's a Wednesday to Sunday). For those still wanting to see a BRZ in person, maybe Subaru will actually bring a model for people to actually sit in this time :mad0259:. One of the reasons I didn't reserve a BRZ right off the bat was the fact I could only see it on computer screens and behind the friggin posts at last year's show (I'm not as brave as a few others here).

Official Info here: http://www.goautoshow.com/index.html

Oh, and as another plug, Georgia Tech's 10th annual Auto Show will be held on the 30th of March. There tends to be some interesting things to see at Tech's show and usually a visit from an alumni who's currently working in industry. Plus it's free to walk around.

Short story: I think the 2nd year the ME department brought Huibert Mees (a 1989 alum) as a speaker who also brought a Ford GT at the show (he was its chassis engineer and currently the Tesla Model S chassis designer). So far, its the only supercar I've been able to sit in with the engine running. Hearing that supercharged V8 inches behind you is quite an experience .

And yes, you can enter your car for the show! ;)

Thanks for the update.

At Subaru had one there. The Scion booth not only didn't have one but the folks there knew pretty much nothing about them. They did give me a little extra bling when I mentioned I was one of the 1st86 though.

That was the first time I went to the Atlanta Autoshow and I have to say I was underwhelmed by the whole event. Other events are much better if you want to find out about what's new and coming. The GA-Tech one sounds cool though.

Man, hard to believe its been a year already. If I remember correctly we are only a couple of weeks away from the anniversary of when the 1st86 was selected!

They have a BRZ at the latest auto show, though it was roped off if I remember right.
