im a licensed insurance agent in NY and NJ. i work for liberty mutual insurance company. if anyone is interested in a quote let me know.

also regarding this thread.. its really hard to compare what other people people just based upon the rate for 6 months. just like you said there are a multitude of factors that effect the rate; credit history, driving record (incidents -at fault, not at fault, pip claims, frequency of claims), zipcode, did u have current ins prior to switching ins, marital status, occupation, level of education, limits of coverage, etc...

any questions on insurance let me know

Almost exactly what I pay. I have Geico. Damn you under 25 male insurance prices. :mad0260:
@mikeg7827 Think you could get me a cheaper rate?

mikeg7827 01-08-2013 01:14 PM

no insurance company can guarantee a lower rate without completing the quote process and running reports but its definitely worth a shot ;)

Yes, it's sort-of like asking someone what they spend on groceries. Nothing can be gained by knowing the amount of money paid.

BRZ MT Limited - 25 years old

Liberty Mutual - $113/month or $678/6months or $1346/year

AMEN! you cant compare your policy premium to that of your friend thats the same age that has the same car... you couldnt even compare your auto insurance premium to the premium of your identical twin that has the same car as you and lives on the same block as you because you could have a similar premium (as long as ALL underwriting factors/characteristics are the same or match) or have drastically different premiums....

things that can affect your rates but not limited to;
-insurance score (derived from your credit report/history)
-driving record
-occupation
-education/level degree obtained
-where you live
-marital status
-if you are shopping for auto ins now, do you have prior insurance to transfer from?
-how many at fault accidents do u have, how many not at fault accidents do u have, how many comp claims, how many pip claims..and for all of these types of claims... what are the payouts?
-have there been undisclosed/unknown operator claims etc

i could go on and on... so if you are looking to see what other people are paying... you might be unhappy with your rate and you want to see how your rate compares to others... but then again you're back at square one.. because each and every policy is tailored to that individual.

may be best for you to shop your insurance around and see what companies tell you. shopping for your insurance DOES NOT impact your credit score. its considered an inquiry/soft hit... NOT a hard hit like getting an auto loan, mortgage or credit card.

Is it true that insurance premiums for the BRZ/FRS will spike once the insurance companies realize how accident prone these cars are?

Is it true that your insurance premium drops a lot when you turn 25?
