Charts!

I made a chart for the torque output of my favorite FI kits overlaid on each other. I started it a while ago as a joke but I've been adding to it since then so I figured I'd post it separately from any particular vendor's thread.

HUGE DISCLAIMER:
These are not "apples to apples" comparisons. Different Dynos were used, under different conditions, at different altitudes, etc. etc. ad nauseum. This is not meant to be accurate or fair. It is just an overlay of my visual estimates of the charts or comments posted in threads around here with no consideration for calibration.

PLEASE:
If I used an old chart or if something is wrong on here just let me know. There is no need for an angry wall of text, I will be glad to update the trace if you will link to or post the best chart to use.

I start the chart at 0 so I can get an idea of how much area under the curve is actually added.

I plan to add more data over time, and sort out the data a bit more in different charts ie. turbos only, superchargers only, and tunes only. I take requests, if there is a kit you want added just ask, but be patient.

Is that hp or torque ratings? If its hp I think your values are a bit low, Full Blown I know is at or over 300whp on 8.5psi.

those are tq

Oh I love how linear the Perrin Vortech is. I WANT NOW!!

I like the tq curve on fbm. I want to see innovate' tq curve before I make my decision though

innovatives looks good enough to me even if the chart isnt apples to apples. I guess I just need a sig that reads Innovative fanboi in waiting.

I am still holding judgement on Innovate. That line is based off of a comment made by someone in reference to an unspecified other vendor. Very vague in other words.

Really stoked to see the official dyno though.

I know thats why I said I may as well be a fanboi, im goin with it for sure, obviously unless its complete shit. I wanted a roots/twin screw since the beginning. But yes, real numbers will be great.

I want to see the intercooled kit with a flex fuel sensor. :eyebulge: That's the latest rumor anyway. It has all the potential to be a really fun car with a ton of power.

I love the power delivery of the Vortech kit though. Nearly straight line from almost idle to redline. That's like the champagne kit, not a ton of power but crisp, clean, and classy.

The FBM line is incredibly straight once the boost kicks in though. That's going to be a fast kit on the track (or anywhere).

So many good options for this car and more show up all the time. :thanks:

I'm new to modding/tracking cars so this has been a great learning experience for me. I am still undecided on which one I want.

Keep in mind Perrin's Vortech is a DYNAPACK dyno.... those numbers will be inflated compared to DynoJets.

Oh, and here's my E85 Dyno....

It would be helpful to add some type of note or indicator signifying the type of dyno used (mustang, dynojet, etc.)

Also, if you set the minimum of the X-axis higher it will help show the differences between better.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll add a note for the type of dyno in the legend.
