Stock car / Corn juice / FA20club

I just tried E85 (E70 out here in OR) with the FA20club tune. I am a happy man. Props to Mr. Toni over at FA20club for the solid tune and the -great- customer service.

The car feels totally different and pulls real nice. I have a stock (no tune) baseline (pump gas 92 octane) dyno run at 162whp on a dynojet. I also have his stage 1 tune (no dyno on that yet) which I'm very happy with. New dyno pull with GFB pulleys and E85 tune to come, otherwise stock.

At this point, I will be investing in the FA20club flex fuel kit and posting impressions as soon as I can.

Don't hesitate to give this man your money.

What do you guys think about the Ethanol content digital display mounted in that little cubby hole (unused on the FR-S) on the center console? Seems like a perfect spot.

Since you're in Oregon perhaps you can make your way to the Portland area and show fellow owners the e85 tune and give people rides so they can feel the comparison as I know people would be interested in feeling the difference (me included). I had e85 on my VW R32 and it felt a little faster. Supposedly it boosted the power by around 20-25%. I'd be curious to see if it also did that in your case on the FA20 motor.

I wonder why there needs to be a new thread review about FA20Club every other day. Don't get me wrong, I love them. But it is silly to make a redundant thread every other day. Aside from that, there is a vendor review sub-forum where this reviews should really go.

If every person who got a flash posted a review thread, this would not be technical information forum.

No knock on you OP, just hope to keep this technical topic section clean.

Sure! I'm actually out here in Clackamas too, so have no problem meeting up for that. PM me and let me know when you have time. (:

I understand and no offense taken. I think I might go a little dark on this forum and just fiddle with my car without announcing too much progress. Too much judgement and drama around here (based on *other* posts I read).

My intention was not to be mean or create drama and I appreciate you didn't take it the wrong way. I certainly appreciate you take the time to tell us how you mod your car, impressions, progress reviews. I just mean to try and keep the forum as clean as possible (impossible task but at least to try).

On any forum there will be drama and bullcrap (unfortunately its human nature and we have to take the good with the bad)

My point really is, don't be discouraged by my opinion, it was just that, my opinion. I look forward to read your progress

It's all good buddy. All of this stuff is in good fun anyway. I'm on the forum because I share a common love of cars. (:

I don't think so.. It's been fine thus far, probably due to the winter blend they use most of the year (~E70-E75). Car feels great. Temps have been between 38 and 42 F. While driving and logging, all the critical values look good (intake temp, AFR, lambda, knock, etc). I even changed the custom message on my radio to remind me to switch maps before driving. Works great!

One thing to keep in mind is that you might have the occasional hesitation when the car is real cold and sitting overnight with E85, but no big deal. Usually turns over the second/third time. Toni did send me a new file with some modified parameters to try and help the cold start. I will flash that tomorrow and see how it goes.
