Google Maps iOS Voice Nav through BeSpoke
I searched the forum and didn't see any other posts, so apologize if this is a re-post but...
I noticed today that you can now use the new iOS Google Maps app to get accurate voice navigation through the BeSpoke unit instead of the abysmal BeSpoke app! I happened on it by accident, but was so excited when I did! 1. Load up the route in the Google Maps app on your phone. 2. Begin the route on your phone. 3. Switch the head unit to iPod. 4. Google Voice Nav works, and automatically does the sound dampering on your iPod music with each direction! |
Can you play your iPhone music while using the bespoke app?
Or play a cd? I can't stand the "scion stations" |

I found this out the first day with the car lol I run pandora and google maps at the same time off my GS2. Loves that it lowers the music so you can hear the navi.
|
But ur nav wont display on the screen right? This is just for the voice?

I do this but I don't hook it up to the iPod cable. I use the Bluetooth option and it does the same thing.

Good info @Dang Lad. Ill have to give that a shot.

You can play your music through bluetooth, and as you come to a turn, the music will fade and Siri will tell you to turn all through bluetooth. It's pretty cool, I just wish that this BeSpoke app would get a MAJOR upgrade!!!

I recently switched from the 2013 bespoke to the 2014 bespoke and for whatever reason the google maps navigation from my phone no longer comes through the bespoke headunit like it use to. Has anyone had the same isssue or figured out how to get it to work?
