Lug Nuts - Geez
So I have a set of tires and wheels coming. Enkei PF01 in silver. Going on my Firestorm FRS.
Gonna show my age here but I'm used to buying a set of standard chrome acorn lug nuts and calling it good. The choices out there for the Scion are dizzying. I'm thinking I want a set of black or red nuts and closed end. From there I am lost on length, style, design..... Can someone recommend a quality brand, secure, size, from there? |
Gorilla has some black closed end one's you can get, if you want to spend more Muteki has red, black, etc closed end also. Make sure you get 12x1.25

I just went with black Rays 17 Hex (steel) lugs. Little pricey for steel lug nuts but Rays usually make high quality stuff. Gorilla makes good and cheaper closed end lugs
|
Whats all the different drive styles about, splined, keyed, etc... Advantages or gimmicks?

Just make sure you buy aftermarket specific lug nuts since OEM lugs won't perfectly mate up with aftermarket wheels. Also make sure it's the correct threading |
Most tuner style nuts are splined but they all use the same key so they don't offer any protection without a lock.

Got my tire/wheel package from Tire Rack. It came with a set of nickle gorilla nuts. Same ones I ordered in black.
