Race Crew Wanted - Sydney - New 86 Production Car

Hi to all fellow 86'rs and BRZ enthusiasts.

Triple Zero Racing have moved from a VE HSV to an 86 for the 2013 Production Car Championship. We are based in Western Sydney not far from Eastern Creek. This is not a big budget team but we do have a big garage with hoist to work from.

In 2013 we hope to take out the NSW Production Car Club Championship.. our first round is the Bathurst Speed Festival in March.. following rounds are Eastern Creek, Wakefield Park and Winton.

The car is prety much completed and ready to run in.. a few things are being completed in the next few weeks. We have a number of long term sponsors and are currently hoping to secure a main backer for 2013.. it is looking positive so far ..

The car is classed as a C class car but we think that it can take most of the B class cars, this will put us in a good points position for the Club championship as the Evo's and HSV's are outright too quick.. the category is growing and Bathurst already has a 42 car field which is expected to be over 50.

We have a web site that we have purposely not updated keeping the new car under wraps .. you can find it at triplezeroracing.com

Please PM me for contact details ... we will need about three or four people to run the season..

Just out of curisouty what type of roll would be involved? and when are most of the race meets are they on weekends or throughout the weekday?

000 Racing 01-02-2013 08:02 PM

Thanks for the question.. a reasonable one :)

Crews are not paid but usually made up of enthusiasts, mechanics and the like. Race meetings are generally on the weekend and at times practice on the Friday... There are six rounds this year so the spread is good..

In pick up the accommodation and meals when we go away etc...

Jobs are from mechanical to tyres, pressures, set up and general roust about .. there are always lots of things to be done on race days.. we have a lot of fun.. good food and beer !! Whilst some are playing for sheep stations they generally have the budget to do it... having said that we do want to win our class and the championship ;)

Again please feel free to pm me for a number to chat about it..

Chris

I'm happy to help out when our racing calendars do not conflict (I'm chasing the NSW Khanacross Class C title).

Having said that I can't make it to Bathurst because Toyota Nationals is on.
Let me know if you need help with any of the prep work.
I haven't made much progress on caliper upgrades, but will let you know when I do.

Cheers,
Josh

I am happy to helping out...providing it doesn't conflict with work. Bare in mind my mechancial knowledge is very limited but I think it would an awesome experience to see what happens behind the scene. Also more than happy to get some decent photos of it racing as well.

Looks like we've got a few guys from the NSW 86/BRZ Car Club that are keen.
I'll SMS you their details.

TheRedViking 01-03-2013 05:24 PM

I am keen. Rather than go through 86Drift and the Facebook club I will send my details directly.
