Trunk won't open

Holding down the button on the key fob and the trunk won't open. Tried opening the trunk via the button from the inside of the car, and that won't work either? WTF?

Open with the key, inside on the left hand side is a button to turn off the remote trunk release..

You most likely hit it.. Not hard to do.. I've done it twice now

theres a cancel button hidden on your left inside the trunk push it and try again

disengage the valet trunk lock located in the far left side of your trunk.

Yeah, I used the key to open the trunk and changed the state of the valet button that others have referred to above. After doing this I was again able to use the button on the keyfob to open the trunk.

Thanks that worked. Looks like some of the cargo was moving around in the trunk and hit the button.

It happened to me the second day I took it home. Freaked me out until I found the fix in the manual.

I'm having this issue except when i put the key in the slot and go to turn it, nothing happens, it just turns and no sounds. Not sure what's going on, I'm pretty sure i heard a pop though while I was driving, I think maybe a bottle exploded or something in my trunk and pissed something off, any tips? Are there any other ways to get into the trunk??

Oh wow, I'd have to go look to see how it works, but I'm sure the key in the trunk is a physical release via cable, not electrical like all the other buttons. The only other way I can think of getting into the trunk is to fish for the seat back release straps. You might be able to fashion a wire coathanger hook, feed it through the back seat along the side and hook the webbing strap. If you can hook those and pull the end into the interior compartment you can then pull the two straps and release the seatback and fold down. I've been able to release the seatback from inside the cabin that way a bunch of times because when I quickly flipped the seatback up to latch it back, the straps lagged behind and ended up caught in the edge of the seatback and the ends sticking out into the cabin.
Once you get the seatback down you should be able to see the glow in dark emergency anti-kidnapping trunk release T handle.

Thanks for the tip, I tried the coat hanger but couldn't get any purchase on anything to help lower the seat. X_X

In regards to the other guy, I stated that I already tried using the key it just kind of turns to it's limit and then refuses to go any further, there isn't any sound or anything. I notice any time i try to pop the button on the rear the key fob illuminates because it's getting the signal to pop the trunk by proximity and what not but no dice. That was what I figured too, unfortunately the key didn't work :(

I think this is just going to turn into a dealership trip dun dun dun

When you turn the key in the lock, push down on the trunk lid at the same time. Might just be stuck to the latch....
