Another PNW Car meet? Vote on a date and vote on what to do!

Since the last meet/photo shoot was full of so much win.... How about another meet!! Pick a date and a venue. Maybe after the initial meet we can snap some more photos somewhere? Maybe i'll even wash my car.... thats kinda stretching it though! :bonk:

Edit: If you have a meet idea throw it out there!

Kensurs 12-31-2012 04:39 PM

The 20th is my birthday :) Just sayin. I'm down to meet either day!

Sounds good Ken  Maybe Pub for a fellow FRS owners Bday? :happy0180:

OTOC 12-31-2012 09:18 PM

Reminder, Jan 20th 8am is OTOC Coffee and cars.

Chen 12-31-2012 10:15 PM

I'd be interested in doing the 20th just cause its a lot of options for car stuff.

NickFRS 01-02-2013 07:08 PM

I think the 20th is the best idea here. Maybe we can find a Pub thats directly in the middle of everyones home so it's a fair commute. When the ball gets rolling more I guess i'll ask for addresses in PM's.

Chen 01-02-2013 08:21 PM

lol in the middle for me would be Salem. But I'd be willing to sacrifice some travel time for the Washington folk to get a bigger group.

Consider yourself lucky... you get to drive all the way up to Portland from Corvallis :D

Lol. not worth it. Corvallis is boring. The drive down here would probably be the most exciting part. But @slizoth and I are down here! I'm sure he'd be down to meet up!

I have some buddies down there, so it would be worth it! I will be down there on Friday, January 18th!

DarrenDriven 01-03-2013 01:23 PM

Watching the topic... not sure if I'll make it yet or not...

Yeah, I could make that work. I just drove to Pacific City this weekend, two hours but super fun drive. http://tinyurl.com/b24nap8

Something to think about if you have any days off coming up.@Chen

I should also mention Pelican Brewery was pretty awesome and a great location but super popular. Finding parking for all of us could be an issue unless we go when everyone else is working or something. Also, Pelican is a touch on the pricey side ($15 to fill a growler, $17 for Fish and Chips).

Let's make an event out of it!
Ps. You get your car fixed?

Yessir!

I'm gonna go off topic a little bit and look ahead towards the summer. I'm thinking we could do a cruise down the gorge on the following route:

https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=L...1,2,4&t=m&z=10

Many opportunities for photography and nice spirited driving through the Columbia River Gorge.

I also guess the Rowena Loops near Hood River are "world famous" according to this video:

Chen 01-03-2013 03:42 PM

looking forward to all these cruises. Plus there should be a few more new owners in the summer.

wrohdejr 01-03-2013 04:26 PM

The drive from philomath to dallas on kings valley hwy is always a fun one. I use to drive that alot while i was in highschool.

digital_assassin 01-03-2013 04:50 PM

I voted BWW on the 20th but am open to most anything on that weekend.

DarrenDriven 01-04-2013 12:09 AM

I'm going to organize another scavenger hunt for February or March... this one will be in the Portland area and will likely take us out to the gorge and also include some West Hills stuff.

wrohdejr 01-04-2013 12:12 AM

The gorge in February is nasty cold and icy.

ducatichick 01-04-2013 01:11 AM

Tillamook? Newberg? Good roads either way.

Tough for me to make east side of PDX especially on a weekend - I drive from Banks to downtown PDX weekdays, about 70 miles round trip.

Side note: the de-icer is slick. Kicked it out pretty good going up the east side of Germantown tonight. Assend came around just in time for opposing traffic to get through. Lots of pretty flashy lights on the dash.

Chen 01-04-2013 04:30 AM

hwy 99 isn't so bad to crusing except when you get stuck in between towns.

NickFRS 01-05-2013 12:38 AM

Buffalo Wild Wings
1200 Northeast Broadway Street #20
Portland, OR 97232

on the 20th 6pm? How does that sound to everyone??

Thats more of the central BWW of portland. Maybe meet up at 5pm ish? debate times! or locations.

JesseE 01-05-2013 03:37 AM

no parking at that bww... the one in central beaverton or hillsboro both have real parking... downtown parking is just asking for dents in your doors

Chen 01-05-2013 01:04 PM

Lets do Hillsboro location! Huge lot plus a parking garage

NickFRS 01-05-2013 01:56 PM

Hillsboro it is!

digital_assassin 01-05-2013 02:42 PM

Chen 01-06-2013 06:24 AM

I can't make it :( I looked at my work schedule wrong.

NickFRS 01-06-2013 09:39 PM

Can't make it now..... Got a 95 buck ticket for not having my front license plate on my bumper...... And my parking ticket was expired by 17 minutes..... I hate parking maids....

wrohdejr 01-07-2013 01:07 AM

Nick did you have the front license plate on the front at all?

Ewww looks like you should invest in a tow hook plate holder. Would have been cheaper.
