Future SF/Peninsula Meets Best day of the week?
 

What day would work for you for future Peninsula/SF meets? I'm thinking that we'd have something once or twice a month.

Also, locationwise, where would you be willing to go? The assumption is that they'd be evening meets.

LOL votes are all over the place. too many choices, no consensus!

I voted San Mateo, will be more central for most people all over the Bay Area. Not living in SF, I will avoid driving into SF if at all possible.

On Saturdays and Sundays we could also do morning meets, especially if we want to plan some kind of activity (driving, cruising, go-karting, sightseeing etc) as well. If we're just going to stand around and talk in a parking lot then yeah that can be at night but I'd advise finding somewhere with covered parking and/or restaurant/cafe nearby.

From my own experience planning things, best to just pick a day, announce it in advance and whoever can go, will go. Ask for everyone's prefs and you end up with 100 different answers. :)

Just my .02 cents -- I will try to attend any meets whenever I can.

Btw, the part of SF I'm proposing is more suburban and less of a pita to get to from the peninsula.

I'm also trying to gauge what people's thoughts are. Ultimately, whoever decides to organize a weekly meet has the call.

I have this idea, say pick a few locations throughout the bay, and then rotate every couple weeks...

How about we rotate:

1st week Peninsula/south of SFO
2nd week SF/north of SFO
3rd week East bay
4th week South Bay/Silicon valley

Whatever is closer to San Jose.
During the weekday I don't think I can make it all the way up to San Francisco.
Fri/Sat/Sun i'll try

Voted. My schedule is random, but most days work with some notice. Close to SF is best.

I'm not driving into the city.

If I'm thinking of the right places to meet on Irving, it's also pretty far from the highway and inconvenient to get to. The only advantage to meet here is for people who live in SF or are coming from the North Bay.

Irving is packed all the time, unless you go towards the beach more. I like the idea of East Bay.. Weekends are best for me
