Katzkin Leather Seats

I've been looking around for a good Toyota dealer or shop to get the Katzkin leather seats installed. Seems like one of the main wholesalers in the East Bay, Coach Automotive Restyling in Union City, does a lot of the Katzkin install work for the local dealerships. They wanted about $1400 for Katzkin leather seats, which is the same price One Toyota over in Oakland wanted. The owner wouldn't budge on price and didn't want to "undercut" his dealer network.

Anyone else been quoted a better price with the Katzkins?

From what I hear from some pretty reputable sources that do interior work, Katzkin can be very hit or miss on quality. Whomever you choose to go with, make sure you inspect it thoroughly...

CARMAX has partnerships with them too, maybe if you find one of the larger carmax's they might know somethin about somethin sorry I can't help more than that though.

edit: http://katzkin.com/locateinstaller I'm sure you've already seen that, but just in case you haven't...

Mine came with it already. Pretty nice quality. So far the best looking leather seat option in the market, though at a price.

My leather seats were installed there (by the dealer) - no complaints here on quality and look.

Just had the Katzkins installed at a local shop. Fit was very good overall, except for the lower passenger seat bolster. The leather there is a little loose compared to the driver side. We're going to see if it smooths out with time. If not, the shop may restitch the leather to tighten it up.
