Optional coloured tail lights?
 

Bit of a random subject I know but I've seen a fare few pictures of the 86 with all red tail lights.

At first I thought it was a photoshop job.

Now the 86 has been spotted on the road with red tails which looks to be a legit photo.

I know it's not exactly something people care about and its purely an aesthetics thing but I find the car looks much better with the all red tails.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Where did you get these pictures from?

All pictures are linked from the discussion thread on Supraforums but I have no idea what sites these pictures were found, either way the blue 86 doesn't look like no amateur photoshop to me.

It's so easy to do yourself. It's not that big of a deal.

Different markets will have more red taillights...look for the Scion FRS to have the more red taillights...hopefully...both BRZs that they showed had the same taillights as the JDM 86.

In the US, orange front and red rear reflectors are required by law (DOT).

The US will still get clear lights, but with red reflectors. Honestly, I'd rather have the clear tail lights so I can either smoke or red them out easier.
