Sound deadening

Can anyone comment on the effectiveness of Dynomat sound deadening? Does it really make a difference to "punchier" bass and better sound quality?

I've been quoted $300 inc. installation.

with the $300 quoted, is it just the doors or boot or ??

Doors and boot

Dynamat will make a difference. But it's installation dependent.

I did my doors, wheel wells, and trunk. Dynamat costs $150 for 36 sqft in the USA. Not sure on where you are. Installing the Dynamat is pretty easy since there are DIY guides on this website. The doors are held together by 3 screws, a plastic popping pin, and snaps.

It makes a difference in sound quality and road noise, but you'll never get that Lexus or Mercedes ride quality.

Where did you get the quote? I bought a ton of dynamatt intending to DIY but haven't been bothered for the past 2 months, the doors are probably the most poorly constructed doors I've seen.

In Adelaide. Why haven't you installed yours?

Can't comment on how effective it is in the 86 specifically, but it made a vast improvement in my verada.

I'd certainly recommend it if audio quality is important to you.

It makes a huge difference. I've sound deadened my doors, boot and parcel shelf. I do recommend doing it if you're an audiophile. If not, don't worry about it. The roof mat still vibrates a little though. =(

Just too lazy, needed to buy aluminum tape and a roller to do it properly plus festive season makes it hard to set aside half a day to do it right.
