FRS surprise

:party0030:Today, after yesterday's rain, I'm driving the FRS on the wet roads. I'm at a complete stop at a stop light. With the VSC sports mode on, Im making a left turn and the entire back side lets loose. Quite the surprise, wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them. I always drive with the VSC sport mode, even in the rain, and this is the first time its ever happened to me.

RWD, my friend. i rarely take a turn w/o some sort of slip or squeal

Keep in mind that it could have also been your last.

Do you use the throttle like a on off switch.. I've broke the tires loose wet, but only because I wanted to.. I've never once had the back step out without trying, but I'm the guy that when the light goes green just takes my time.. I'm never in a race.. I also average 36-37 mpg.. So I'm a lot softer with the throttle then most

You should keep the traction control on. This must be your first RWD vehicle. I never kicked out the back end of any cars without trying or being reckless. Even in my trucks.

Did you get on that gas hard? That would be the lsd engaging completely normal plus these all season michellens suck in the rain.

Oh yeah its great for sliding around but I must admit it kinda surprised me the first time and I came from a very tail happy 91MR2 Turbo.

They're really fun in cold temps even on dry pavement. Even more so when there's powdered salt left over. It's like driving on talcum powder.

jflogerzi 12-26-2012 09:37 PM

You guys are crazy. I must not being trying hard cause I have not gotten the tail out not once on a public road. Granted this is my first RWD car and I keep all nanies on. I need to find a big empty lot and turn them off to have fun and experiment with.

vsc sport in the rain when you're leisure driving... no point.
