Absolutely awesome. Perfect place for a gauge and you get to keep the vent to an extent.

Loki2x 12-26-2012 12:05 AM

Awesome!!!!

DaJo 12-26-2012 12:38 AM

Brilliant idea! Though I'd like to see an oil temp sensor too.

It's actually a switchable Exhaust/Oil Temp (digital) and water temp (analog), so you win!

Freeman 12-26-2012 12:53 AM

That's perfect! Thanks!

This is bloody phenomenal. However for the Exhaust/Oil when switching, how do I know which is which?

Mr.Jay 12-26-2012 08:30 AM

Jamifra 12-26-2012 09:22 AM

CaptainSlow 12-26-2012 03:56 PM

I had a gauge pod like that in my MS3...really nice place for a gauge, for sure.

neutron256 12-27-2012 11:05 AM

Anyone know how to remove the existing vent piece? I'd like to take it out and see how hard it would be to make a custom piece that would fit standard gauges.

Analog display: Water temperature

Digital display: Oil temperature, intake air temperature (display switching)

not exhaust temp...

The DX series to display multiple data in easy installation of the coupler on the diagnostic connector failure, easy to see the best Subaru BRZ and Toyota 86, the water temperature, display switching in digital intake air temperature and oil temperature, illumination color is akin to genuine I want to add a color meter can be selected. In addition, we are provided with a holder that can blast through a gap in the mouth, the two types of holder that can be attached to the dashboard, such as meter and meter balloon be attached to the outlet.

Love it

Walldodger 12-29-2012 07:49 AM

Damn! If engine oil temp and digital transmission temp was an option I'd order it now.

Guillaume 01-25-2013 05:41 AM

Anyone received theirs so far? I am on the verge of getting one and some feedback would be appreciated.

None at all.

mechaghost 02-08-2013 05:36 PM

do they have anything for boost? :)

JD86 02-11-2013 03:47 AM

There's a boost/water temp/oil Temp guage on their website... But given that there's no turbo on the 86/BRZ/FRS there's no option to buy the correct mounting for it... Also it's in KPa not PSI to confuse our imperial measurement friends from the US.

If anyone can figure out how to order the 86 vent mount and the boost guage I'd be in for this!

If you want to go super crazy Greddy has a 62mm master gauge that reads everything... and I mean everything (boost, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, Air fuel mix etc...) in one. But you're looking at well over a grand to set it all up.

schtebie 03-02-2013 11:11 PM

Are there any Pivot dealers in the US?

It'll be kind of a pain to order from an overseas vendor...

Turbowned 03-03-2013 12:32 PM

Cool! Do they make one that displays oil pressure?

Might as well just get the GReddy Informeter at that point...

How's the vent with the gauge in? When using air con I generally have the vent pointing away from the steering wheel otherwise my hand gets cold! Does the cold air go straight onto your hand and make it cold, or hot if heating on?

I was a bit worried about that too but it turns out it's not an issue. I haven't noticed any particular hot/cold feeling on my hand, the vent seems to be diffusing the flow quite homogeneously.

I contacted Japanparts.com and asked about the product, it was subsequently listed on their site as an available part to buy at my request.

The instructions that the gauge comes with include English, very VERY clear and concise. By the looks of it, there shouldn't be any problems with installation. I already removed the air vent on the left side in about 10 seconds.

You can get the P3 guage for a whole helluvalot less, it uses the perfectly accurate and adequate ECU sensors, with specialized PIDs for things like oil temp, and has 3 0-5V universaul aux inputs for other sensors.

THAT is actually pretty darn close to ideal.

wowzers thats some loot

mav1178 03-01-2014 06:29 PM

@NYCsubaruBRZ yes and no... I didn't want to run any additional adapters and wanted a plug and play gauge, but keeping interior as minimal as possible.

This allows me to remove and put back to stock whenever I want to, and also gives me the ability to monitor oil/water temps at the track.

For my situation it's a win/win. YMMV.
