Difficulty starting car..

does anyone also have this problem where the key won't turn to pass the first click and to start the car???? I sometimes have to turn it really hard to get it to start. idk the names of the sections of the key starter area T_T lol

Don't have my frs yet but other vehicles have a lock on the ignition if someone tries turning the wheel. Next time just try turning the wheel slightly either direction and see if it unlocks it

Try turning your steering wheel to the left a little bit while you turn the key. I think you might be locking your steering wheel by accident.

(Edit)^^^^^^^beat me to it

Happens in my miata all the damn time, it's definitely the steering lock.

It has to do with the high compression ratio in the engine. I talked to my tech and they said its something you just get used to. No buggy :)

Dude that tech needs to be fired. She's having a problem getting the key to turn in the cylinder. The starter in this car turns the engine over without difficulty.

Thats funny

Gonna agree with this. Happens to me all the time. I'm not very tall, and my leg hits the bottom of the steering wheel every time I get in and does the ignition wheel lock.

Shake the steering wheel left n right while turning on the ignition - its in your manual.
My legs hit it every now n then getting in even at the highest position of the steering wheel :/
