Toyota standard size (200mm wide) headunits for FR-S/GT86/BRZ

Being an owner of GT86 with European "Touch" OEM audio head unit I am desperately looking for a standard sized (unfortunately Toyota did not put a standard 2DIN slot into the twins but their own 200mm-wide slot) aftermarket replacement with navigation and red backlight to match the interior backlight.

I found some solutions which are close to what I am looking for but still not good enough (and very hard to get):

Foxway Toyota 86 car dvd player with GPS

http://foxway.en.alibaba.com/product..._with_GPS.html

Kenwood DX-630W

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kenwood-DDX-...item20cdb6e3cf

Advent OTOMF1

Could pls anyone who know any other 200mm-wide solutions compatible with FR-S/GT86/BRZ post info/pics/links/personal experiences in this topic so that everyone with the same "problem" could get closer to the solution they are seeking for. Thanks to all in advance!

I have the Kenwood. Headunit is awesome, highly recommend. It fits the slot perfectly, looks OEM, and even plugs straight into the stock harness.

Is it SAT ready? And mind some interface pix? The advertised 1 is crap

It's Satnav ready, you just need to get the satnav module from Kenwood.

I'll get some photos when I have the chance.

No doubt Kenwood is the highest quality among these 3 but key drawbacks for me is this light blue backlight and no rotating volume control.

Why not to offer various backlight options to match the interior? I think it costs literally less than $1 in production...

It has whatever colour backlights you want. The orange is one of the default colours too.

Hey Gir just got a few questions.

Does the satnav work in Australia? How much did u pay for the headunit and were did u buy it from? For installation do you have to do anything extra or does it plug straight in? Do the original USB and aux connections work with the headunit?

Lol sorry for all the question I am just very interested and keen on purchasing it!

Thanks man

There's an Aus satnav module, I haven't got it so I can't comment on it. I payed $600 from Ebay. It plugs straight into the stock harness. I have a GT, so there is no stock USB or Aux plugs for me. I would imagine you would need to modify the connectors to get it to work though. There's a heap of tutorials in the DIY section. I just ran the Aux and USB to my glovebox.

Thanks Gir.

Would you happen to know what the model number is for the kenwood unit with satnav? I keep changing my mind between kenwood and pioneer lol decisions decisions.

thanks again

There's no model with built in navigation. You buy the unit, then buy the navigation add on module (KNA-G630AU for Aus)
